Topological full groups, as an algebraic invariant, were introduced to study continuous orbit equivalence relations by Giordano, Putnam, and Skau. Then, these groups have been found applications to geometric group theory by providing interesting examples with certain properties such as simplicity, soficity, amenability, and LEF-ness. In this talk, I will show new methods of establishing the soficity and LEF-ness for topological full groups. Moreover, I will explain how can one obtain amenability from the sofic approximations when the acting group is amenable and the action is distal.

马昕,2019年毕业于得克萨斯农工大学,博士导师为David Kerr。 2019-2021年为纽约州立大学布法罗分校博士后,导师为李寒峰。 现为多伦多大学菲尔兹研究所及约克大学博士后,导师为Ilijas Farah。 曾在Trans. Amer. Math. Soc.,Int. Math. Res. Not., J. Lond. Math. Soc.,Ergodic Theory Dynam. Systems,J. Funct. Anal. 等刊物上发表文章。
