In this talk we introduce a smoothing Newton method for solving the weakly nonlinear complementarity problem, by equivalently transforming a class of weakly nonlinear complementarity problems into a modulus equation, and introducing a smoothing approximation of the absolute value function. Under some mild assumptions, we prove that the proposed method has global convergence and locally quadratical convergenc ratee. Especially, the global convergence results do not need a priori existence of an accumulation point with some suitable conditions.

李科教授主要从事石油工程中的数学问题研究,研究领域涉及石油工程建模以及相关数学问题的数值计算。近年来在大规模线性代数问题数值求解方程取得了一些创新研究成果。
