I will talk about interfaces and their propagation in parabolic equations, including propagating fronts and Stefan free boundaries in reaction diffusion equations; free boundaries in porous media equations; propagating hypersurfaces in mean/Gauss curvature flows. In particular, I will specify the influence of the special heterogeneity on the propagation.
