In homotopy theory it is a significant problem to determine the homotopy exponents of the topological spaces. As a family of fundamental spaces, Stiefel manifolds play an important role in topology and physics. In this talk, I will introduce some of my old and recent joint works on how to approach the homotopy exponents of the Stiefel manifolds via homotopy decomposition or spherical fibrations.
