The topological period-index problem is a topological analog of the long-standing period-index problem in algebraic geometry. I will present an overview as well as recent progresses on this problem. In particular, I will explain the connection between the topological period-index problem and twisted K-theory

古星于2017年在伊利诺伊大学芝加哥分校(the University of Illinois at Chicago)获得数学博士学位，并先后在墨尔本大学(the University of Melbourne)和Max Planck数学研究所(the Max Planck Institute for Mathematics at Bonn)从事博士后研究工作
