Corner scattering and applications

报告摘要:

We consider time-harmonic medium or source scattering. We examine the effect of never-trivial-scattering due to the appearance of corners at the support of the medium inhomogeneity or the source. In particular, interior transmission eigenfunctions in a cornered domain cannot be extended into the neighborhood as an incident wave field. Some applications like inverse scattering on shape determination will also be discussed. This talk is mainly based on a joint work with Professor Fioralba Cakoni.

主讲人简介:

肖晶妮,美国 Rutgers 大学数学系Hill Assistant Professor,本科及硕士毕业于中南大学,博士毕业于香港浸会大学。其主要研究领域为反问题,尤其是偏微分方程、散射理论及空间分数阶算子的相关正问题和反问题;现已在JEMS, Comm. Part. Diff. Eq.、SIAM J. Math. Anal.、J. Diff. Eq.等国际期刊发表论文6篇,另有一篇接收于Comm. Part. Diff. Eq.,一篇接收于Analysis & PDE;曾担任Trans. Amer. Math. Soc.等SCI期刊审稿人。
