Image Intensity Function Estimation Based Image Super Resolution and Segmentation

报告摘要:

High resolution image restoration and image segmentation both require accurate characterization of singularity such as edges. The former one needs to enhance edges from low resolution images while the latter one needs to identify the locations of edges. Both become a challenging problem when the image contrast is very low, some boundary information is missing and when there is noise. We first review our algorithm of single image super resolution based on reproducible kernel Hilbert space and approximated Heaviside function. We then present our recent development on extension to 3D image super resolution. We also separate smooth components of an image from the edges using the same modeling and adopt for global and local image segmentation. Numerical results show the superiority of the proposed approaches.

主讲人简介:

郭卫红现任美国凯斯西楚大学(Case Western Reserve University) 应用数学方向副教授,终身教授,博导。2007年从美国佛罗里达大学应用数学博士毕业,同时获得统计专业硕士。她在图像处理和反问题领域得到了很多重要的原创性科研成果。已经在 SIAM J. Imaging Sciences, Inverse Problems and Imaging, Information Sciences, Journal of Computational and Applied Mathematics, IEEE Transactions on Image Processing, EEE Transactions on Circuits and Systems for Video Technology, Magnetic Resonance Imaging and Magnetic Resonance in Medicine 等重要期刊发表40多篇论文。她担任过超过20个国际会议和杂志的审稿人,自2012年担任国际杂志 Inverse Problems and Imaging 的编委,曾担任国际杂志 International Journal of Biomedical Imaging 的客座编辑。她也组织过多次学术会议。
