We will give a quick introduction on comparison geometry (a branch in Riemannian geometry) and together with a brief history. Then we will explain the recent development of comparison geometry in certain singular spaces. We will present the talk with many examples, and try to make the talk accessible to undergraduate students.
主讲人简介：
美国Rutgers大学教授，国际著名的微分几何学专家。曾应邀在2000年第一届美国Scandinvian国际数学大会(每四年举行一次)作45分钟报告，并获得应邀在2002年国际数学家大会(每四年举行一次)做45分钟报告的殊荣。在国际顶尖数学杂志《Ann. Math.》，《Invent Math.》，《Duke J. Math.》，《Jour. Diff. Geom.》，《Geom. Func. Anal.》，等发表多篇优秀论文。
