In the first part of this talk, we shall review affine Lie algebras and give certain generalizations of twisted affine Lie algebras. In the second part, we review some basics about vertex algebras and their modules and quasi module. Then in the third part, we present a natural connection of these Lie algebras with quasi modules for vertex algebras.

美国罗格斯大学数学系终身教授，厦门大学闽江学者特聘讲座教授。 研究方向为顶点算子代数、量子顶点代数、无限维李代数，是顶点算子代数奠基人之一。主持美国自然科学基金、美国NSA基金及中国国家自然科学基金（海外合作项目）多项。
