Simple Lie algebra sl_2 and a class of modules over the Euclidean Lie algebra e_3

The smallest simple Lie algebra sl_2 is the only semi-simple Lie algebra for which all simple (not necessarily finite dimensional) modules are in some sense understood. In this talk, I will introduce the representation theory of sl_2 first, in particular, the finite dimensional irreducible modules will be mentioned. Then the classification of a class of modules over the Euclidean Lie algebra e_3 will be discussed. If time permits, we will talk about the application of the classification and the restrictions of some modules to the subalgebra sl_2 of e_3. This is a joint work with Zheyan Wan.
主讲人简介：
陈洪佳，中国科学技术大学教授、博导。2008年9月至2013年7月分别在加拿大约克大学、加拿大阿尔伯塔大学以及加拿大劳里埃大学从事学术研究工作。2014年2月至今在中国科学技术大学任教授。主要从事无限维李代数、量子群的结构和表示理论的研究，在《Transactions of the American Mathematical Society》、《Journal of the London Mathematical Society》、《Mathematische Zeitschrift》以及《Journal of Algebra》等SCI杂志上发表学术论文20篇。
