When one uses computers to process a continuous image, the image must be represented by a discrete image or digital image, i.e. it is approximated by discrete objects. The problem is how to introduce a satisfactory topology for this discrete structure, so that the discrete model can faithfully exhibit some relevant features (such as connectedness and boundary) of a continuous original. The aim of this talk is to give an introduction to topological approach to the problem. Then we discuss continuity of functions in discrete models and their applications.
主讲人简介:
王彦英,河北师范大学教授,博士生导师,河北省教学名师。研究方向涉及代数拓扑、微分拓扑、环面拓扑、数字拓扑。主持完成教育部高等学校博士学科点专项科研基金项目和多项国家自然科学基金项目。在协边理论研究中,通过引入最小法丛信息量的概念,提出了相关的新研究课题。通过寻找拓扑不变量给出了几类闭流形的协边分类以及利用组合学和代数学工具给出一类闭流形等变同胚分类个数的计算公式等。近年来,关注拓扑学方法在数字图像分析和大数据处理等领域的应用研究。在国内外重要学术期刊发表论文40余篇。
