Applications of geometric control on Lie groups.

报告摘要:

We will address the following domains where geometric control is successfully applied:

- Mobile robotics,

- Image inpainting and image processing,

- Riemannian geometry.

For mobile robots, we will consider path-planning problem for car with trailers.

For imaging, we will describe results on image inpainting and image processing based on sub-Riemannian geometry on the group of Euclidean motions of the plane and other related Lie groups.

For Riemannian geometry, we will describe length minimizers and cut locus for left-invariant Riemannian problems on SO(3), SL(2), and related Lie groups.

 

主讲人简介:

Yuri Sachkov is a full Professor at Department of Mathematics, University of Pereslavl. Chief of Control processes research center, Program Systems Institute (PSI), Russian Academy of Sciences.Member of the Editorial Board of Journal of Mathematical Sciences, Springer, since 2012.Member of the Editorial Board of Journal Program Systems: Theory and Practice, since 2010.Member of the American Mathematical Society.Expert of the Russian Foundation for Basic research.Expert of the Russian Science Foundation. Research Interests: Sub-Riemannian Geometry, Right-Invariant Control Systems on Lie Gro-ups, Optimal Control, Bilinear Systems, Nonlinear Geometric Control Theory, Motion Planning, Applications to Robotics, Mechanics, and Reconstruction of Images, Integrability and Non-Integrability of Hamiltonian Systems, Numerical Methods for Optimal Control and ODEs, Parallel Computations.
