Braid groups are objects of interest in various branches of mathematics, including singularity theory. In this talk, we survey the study of cohomology of braid groups initialed by Arnold and their generalization, Artin groups. Some recent results joint with Toshiyuki Akita are introduced.

刘晔，北海道大学博士毕业，日本学术振兴会特别研究员。
研究方向：代数拓扑、几何组合、Coxeter群及Artin群的拓扑、超平面构型。
