Curvature criteria of A-simple singularities R,0-> R^2,0 and their parallel curves

This is a joint work with Saiki Hoshino. Although a scheme for classifying singularities of map-germs R,0→R2,0 is known, no good general criterion for determining their singularity types is known. In this presentation, we generalize the fundamental theorem of plane curves to singularities and seek such a criterion. We give a characterization of all A-simple singularities, including all A2k singularities. As an application, we investigate when the singularities of parallel curves of A-simple singularities are again A-simple.

福井敏纯（Toshizumi Fukui）是日本埼玉大学的教授，在《Invent. Math.》, 《Proc. Lond. Math. Soc.》，《Topology》和《SIAM J. Optim.》等著名学术期刊上发表过关于奇点理论、代数几何、实分析和复分析等方面的系列学术成果，是国际奇点理论界的著名学者，曾任日本数学会《数学》杂志主编和日本埼玉大学理学研究科科长。
