We present a second-order scalar auxiliary variable (SAV) Fourier spectral method for solving the nonlinear fractional generalized wave equation. We first establish the unconditional energy conservation or dissipation of the fully discrete scheme. Then, by employing a temporal-spatial error splitting approach, we derive unconditional optimal error estimates. This analysis overcomes the usual time-step restrictions associated with strongly nonlinear systems, and does not require the global Lipschitz condition on the nonlinear term—an assumption needed in previous works on fractional wave equations. Finally, we present numerical examples to support the theoretical findings.

王楠,郑州大学数学与统计学院副教授,研究生导师。主持国家自然科学基金、中国博士后基金等课题。研究方向为谱方法、有限差分方法和虚拟有限元方法,研究方向主要有偏微分方程数值解、非局部偏微分方程数值解,主要侧重于非线性耗散型或守恒型偏微分方程的数值解。在SISC、JSC等知名期刊发表多篇研究论文。
