The famous Lichnerowicz theorem implies that for spin manifold the index of twisted Dirac operator by unitarily flat vector bundle are obstructions to the existence of positive scalar curvature metric. The Rosenberg index is a higher index that described the universal obstruction over all possible flat bundles. In this talk, I shall describe a generalization of Rosenberg index to foliations.
