报告摘要:
In this talk, we present a novel rate-dependent bond-based peridynamic model for predicting the mechanical behavior of brittle aluminosilicate glass. By incorporating a strain-rate-dependent damage criterion and an inhomogeneous critical stretch model based on the Weibull distribution, our approach effectively captures the rate effect and the influence of randomly distributed micro-defects. Model validation against quasi-static and dynamic impact tests shows that the rate effect enhances glass strength and damage resistance, while material inhomogeneity reduces strength but increases crack propagation velocity and leads to more randomized fracture paths. This improved peridynamic framework provides a promising tool for accurately simulating the failure of brittle materials.
